Yuina Todman

Todman, Yuina

Yuina Todman, originally from Okinawa, Japan, creates artwork inspired by nature and the human condition. Her work explores the fluidity of form, aiming to capture a deeper connection with her subjects. She believes that creating art is not about merely describing a subject defined by form, but rather engaging in a conversation with the subject and the materials themselves.

In this process, she draws inspiration from nature’s effortless movements, like birds soaring in the sky or flowers blooming without thought. Her approach to art is a reflection of this natural flow, where the process itself is as important as the finished piece.“The material in front of me speaks to me, and my brush responds to it.” – Yuina Todman
