Pennye King, a Shreveport native, spent her career in surgical nursing at Schumpert Medical Center before fully dedicating herself to wildlife photography upon retirement. Her passion for capturing nature’s beauty has taken her from her home at Kool Point on Caddo Lake to destinations across Alaska, Montana, Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and beyond.

Two years ago, Pennye expanded her artistic expression by transforming her photographs into acrylic paintings, bringing new depth and vibrancy to her work. Her images can be seen on Facebook, in Friends of Caddo Lake, and at The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum in Shreveport.
