Pam Saxton
Pam Saxton is a Shreveport-based artist and art educator with a lifelong passion for creative expression. Having also lived in Metairie and worked in New Orleans, her artistic journey has been shaped by both experience and inspiration.
With a background in Studio Arts, Pam has explored multiple mediums, but watercolor became her primary focus after discovering Albrecht Dürer’s Young Hare and its remarkable depth and detail. Her love for equine art was further influenced by Fred Stone, whose intimate, close-up portrayals of thoroughbred horses captured their essence without the distraction of elaborate backgrounds.
Currently, Pam teaches middle and high school art in Shreveport and enjoys mentoring young artists through private lessons, sharing her knowledge and passion with the next generation of creatives.
