Maria Ashcraft, a Bossier City resident since 2002, now lives in Benton, LA with her husband Russell and their two rescue dogs, Princess and Rascal. Maria began her painting journey after moving to Louisiana, inspired by the state’s natural beauty and her international travels. She has studied at Louisiana State University Shreveport, Bossier Parish Community College, and participated in various local workshops.

Her artistic focus is on landscapes, portraits, and animals, with a particular affection for capturing the innocent expressions of dogs. Maria also enjoys painting abstracts and collages, favoring vibrant colors and bold contrasts to bring her subjects to life.
