Katie Dunkelman was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Shreveport with her family when she was two years old.  She briefly left Shreveport during her college career at LSU Baton Rouge where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.  On her return for summer break, having been a childhood neighbor in Shreveport to Lewis Kalmbach, the founder of Artport, she interned with Louie Lewis Designs gaining inspiration from this creative genius.  Katie’s artwork style gravitates towards impressionism, and is typically  inspired by figures and animals.
