Isabelle De Joya Vea is a Filipino-American mixed media artist and designer, born in Quezon City, Philippines, and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her work reflects over two decades of blending her Filipino heritage with her life in Louisiana. Having spent her early childhood in the Philippines, she draws inspiration from the vibrant tropical culture she experienced and the bold, lively atmosphere of Louisiana. The fearlessly colorful and abstract nature of her art captures the warmth and joy of the Filipino spirit alongside the bold vibrancy of Louisiana’s culture. De Joya Vea’s work has been showcased in various exhibitions and festivals across the Gulf Coast. She currently splits her time between the Greater New Orleans area and Shreveport.
