Having performed on the bill with such great artists as Jimmy Smith, Tom Browne, Henry Johnson, LaVerne Butler, Joe McBride, Phyllis Diller, Bobby Bland, Percy Sledge, Martha Reeves & the Vendellas, the Platters, the Coasters, the Drifter, Kim Waters and Jimmy Witherspoon, the professional pyrotechnics of his talents are in easy display. Dorsey Summerfield is a former lead Alto Saxophonist for the Genius Ray Charles Orchestra, having replaced the great and capable Hank Crawford in the band. He is also the former Head for Music and Fine Arts at Southern University at Shreveport, teaching the Blade brothers. He is currently still engaged as a jazz recording artist, music consultant, with regular exclusive performances at Chianti Restaurant and Casino stages.  He is certified in Music Technology for Pro Tools and attended the Berkeley School of Music. Dorsey Summerfield brings as much window to the soul through his artwork as he does his music. He perfected this craft with abstract representations of bold color and expression.
