Dennis O’Bryant
Dennis O’Bryant, also known as DENO the artist, is a painter, sculptor, and occasional poet. He creates his works in a century-old house in historic Marshall, Texas, just east of downtown. This space serves as his residence, studio, and gallery.
Dennis primarily works with acrylic paint, though his pieces also incorporate oils, watercolors, permanent markers, paper collage, and various mixed media. His subjects range from the mysterious Caddo Lake, abstract compositions, and the female form, to pieces that tell a personal story, often reflecting his own artistic journey.
His sculptural works, made from metal, feature abstract pieces created from geometric and twisted remnants of steel, while his clay works tend to have a more human element, such as stylized busts and female torsos.
For Dennis, all aspects of life—sketchbooks, photos, travels, and personal relationships—serve as raw material for his creations.
