Cindy Griffin
Cindy Griffin’s life is woven with love, family, and the enduring passion of an artist’s heart. A wife, mother, and proud grandmother, Cindy is above all a storyteller—one who speaks through color, light, and brushstrokes.
She lives on a ranch in Karnack, Texas, where the natural beauty of her surroundings unfolds like a living canvas. The rolling fields, whispering trees, and abundant wildlife—cattle, horses, deer, and birds in their effortless dance—serve as her everyday inspiration. She finds creative fuel in the fleeting yet profound moments she witnesses: a blue heron wading through a pond, egrets gliding silently over water, or an eagle swooping down for a heron’s catch.
Cindy has been drawn to art since she could first hold a pencil. Her early artistic development was shaped by mentors like Gwen Norsworthy and other influential figures in the Shreveport-Bossier art community. She pursued her formal training at Louisiana Tech University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Arts under the guidance of Albino Hinojosa, whose lessons continue to echo in her work.
Though life eventually led her down a path centered on family and responsibility, Cindy’s passion for art never faded. Later in life, she returned to the canvas with renewed purpose and energy, finding deep solace in the act of creation. Her home studio has become her sanctuary—a space where time slows and she can translate the breathtaking landscapes around her onto canvas.
For Cindy, painting is more than a practice; it’s a way of life. It’s her way of capturing glimpses of heaven and sharing the beauty, movement, and soul she sees in the world with others.
