Bob Thompson

Thompson, Bob

Bob Thompson’s passion for photography began at the age of twelve when his mother gifted him a Brownie Hawkeye camera. This early introduction to the art of capturing moments sparked a lifelong journey behind the lens.

While serving in the Navy, Bob expanded his skills with a Pentax Spotmatic II, purchased in Hong Kong. Stationed on an aircraft carrier near Vietnam, he documented the dramatic takeoffs and landings of fighter planes, further deepening his appreciation for composition and motion.

Today, Bob finds inspiration in the patterns and designs of nature and the people around him. Whether capturing intricate details or spontaneous moments, his work reflects a keen eye for storytelling through photography.
