Kim Thompson is a local artist whose passion for art extends beyond the canvas and into the classroom. For over twenty years, she has used art as a teaching tool to help children grasp concepts in math, science, and language arts. Her work has been exhibited at the BPCC Library and the Meadows Museum in Shreveport.

Primarily expressionist in style, Kim’s paintings capture snapshots of life—people, places, and moments infused with emotion and movement. Inspired by her parents, she grew up watching her mother paint and copying her father’s sketches, laying the foundation for a lifelong artistic journey.
