Barbara McGowan spent 60 years living in Shreveport before relocating to Elm Grove, south of Bossier City. She has been painting for most of her 87 years, with a diverse artistic practice that includes jewelry-making, colored pencil work, and portrait painting. In addition to her visual art, Barbara is also a writer and has published a book of her poetry. Her lifelong dedication to creativity reflects her deep passion for both visual and literary expression.
